Mures Magnesium currently has small management team which is set to grow in 2023 as the EIT RM project rolls out and it moves to accelerate the preparation of the main Capital project as encourage by its EIT and EU counterparts. MMG operates as a SRL at present and plans the move to an SA in preparation to work toward a future stock exchange listing in 2025. This move requires growth in the team and discussions are underway to install a formal BOD to which the current Exec team would report.

Project Director

Duane has extensive overseas experience having been involved in project step and operations in Saudi Arabia, Russia and Romania.   He has worked for NZMP, Pepsi, Danone and OMV in senior roles.  He has spent the past 10 years putting together the Mures Magnesium reclamation & remediation project for chemical site wastes to recover minerals (Mg, Cr & Ca) and leave a environmentally stable site.   Duane is a New Zealander having been based in Romania for the past 26 years.

CFO (EMBA)

Ramona has over 25 years of experience in creating, developing & managing organizational structures, building and leading cross-functional teams, with more than 5 years of experience in corporate governance, as a non-executive board member for important companies from the energy sector. Also, Ramona has over 20 years of experience in banking departments, the last 10 years in restructuring non-performing loans. Ramona holds a university degree from the Economics University and an Executive MBA from CNAM-INDE.

Technical advisor (non executive role)

Matt is a British national and is the patent author for the Minex technology and the key technical resource for the company.   He has over 25-years experience in geochemical engineering and mineral processing, together with mine waste stabilisation.  Matt spent 18 years with SRK UK as an associate and Principal Engineer. He is a Chartered Engineer and focuses on the processing side of the project while having a wide ranging knowledge of the interactions of all aspect of the project.
